Royal Bank Cup: Humboldt 5 Kingston 2
I attended the Humboldt-Kingston game this afternoon as the Broncos defeated the Voyageurs 5-2 in a very entertaining hockey game. After watching Kingston in its first game of the RBC I wasnt impressed, but the Voyegeurs played much better in their second game of the RBC and gave Humboldt a good run for their money this afternoon. Both teams played well with chances at either ends of the rink, with the Broncos leading 3-2 going into the 3rd the Voyageurs thought they tied the game with a long shot from just over the blueline, but the goal was waived off, due to the Voyageurs being offside. Humboldt would score shortly after and then adding an empty netter to skate away with the 5-2 victory. Nice to see a decent size crowd this afternoon at the hockey game, the biggest we have seen all RBC. Thanks to a few school buses of young kids that helped make the rink look at least half full.
