Vernon Vipers forward Cory Kane has been named the British Columbia Hockey League Player of the Week for the week ending March 15th, the league announced Monday.
Kane scored three goals and added four assists in a trio of wins over the Penticton Vees last week, including a three-point effort in Vernon's series-clinching 7-1 win on Friday.
The 18-year old also put in a three-assist effort in Game 4 and scored the late game winner in Game 3.
Kane posted 20 goals and 22 assists in 59 regular season games during his rookie season in the BCHL. He is ranked 162nd on NHL Central Scouting's midseason ranking for June's Entry Draft.
