First off why was this trade not announced by either team but yet happened on December 1st?
The Vipers acquired Brennan in a trade with Sherwood Park over the summer. The Vipers traded Linden Burrett & future considerations to Sherwood Park June 26th 2024 for the playing rights of Lucas Brennan.
I liked Brennan and even though he got off to a slow start, I thought has come on as of late and played his best hockey of the season. Brennan has 11 pts this season with the Snakes. Did Brennan ask for a trade or were the Vipers not happy with his play/production and replacing him with Logan Peskett?
Were only 24 games into the 2024-25 season and the Vipers have overhauled there roster from the start of the regular season. In all of my years watching Junior hockey in Vernon, I have never seen the Vipers make so many roster moves in one season. This is what happens with poor management/recruiting/scouting and making poor decisions. Since training camp, eighteen players are now gone. This is crazy!
Weird it is on the BCHL site as December 1, when the Vipers post it on December 5.
It has become painfully clear the decision maker(s) in management/coaching should be fired. Many of the players who were traded and/or released had requested it because of the incompetence that is on display this season. This is evidenced by the success these guys have with their new teams. It is shameful what the “leadership” has done to our once proud team.
