I have heard rumors that the Vipers want all players in town for some time in mid August to quarantine. If and when Kal Tire Place opens and teams are allowed to send players/coaches on the ice, the players will have quarantined and be ready to go. Now that the Vees have announced three camps in August, will we see the Vipers make any announcements soon?

Good to get back to hockey but will be interesting to see how the league approaches it. Once the players get to BC & quarantine they should be able to start practicing. I have heard games may be played with very limited spectators, certainly a wise decision, but how will the BCHL deal with the Wenatchee Wild? With the border closed & the US's inability to control the spread of Covid-19 would they consider sitting out the season? I can't see health officials allowing multiple border crossings in order to facilitate games. We will see as this is unprecedented times.

I was very surprised to see the AJHL release a schedule for the 2020-21 season with games starting September 18th. I have heard rumors if there is a hockey season this year, Season ticket holders will be the only fans allowed to go to games and fans will be spread out, two to three seats apart from one another. I have also heard rumors if there is a BCHL season this fall, the Wenatchee Wild would live and play games in Chilliwack.

VDHF. What makes hockey so special? The NHL cant have any fans but junior hockey can? Can concerts go ahead with limited fans? No chance they play.

I didn't say hockey was special. The NHL can play with no fans, Junior hockey can't survive with no fans or sponsors.

I know that nhl can play without fans and can survive, junior hockey can't. What I meant was if they arent allowing nhl fans, there is zero chance that they allow junior hockey fans. And if they allow fans others like concerts will be complaining that they should be allowed fans.

For sure the games will continue to be streamed and we can watch our teams, and even watch the whole league. I'm thinking that HockeyTV will have a lot more subscriptions this year.
