Giants Add Fuller To Roster:

The Western Hockey League Vancouver Giants have added Vernon Vipers defenceman Landon Fuller to their roster.

Fuller made his Giants debut Saturday night in a 2-1 victory over the visiting Kamloops Blazers.

The Vipers acquired Fuller September 26th 2018 from the Coquitlam Express for Nicholas Wildgoose.

The Giants, with three defencemen out with injuries, have added D Landon Fuller, 19, to their roster, at least for the short term. From 100 Mile House, B.C., he played 16 games with the Tri-City Americans over the previous three seasons. This season, he had one assist in eight games with the BCHL’s Vernon Vipers. . . . Vancouver GM Barclay Parneta was with the Americans when they selected Fuller in the WHL bantam draft. . . . The Giants remain without D Dylan Plouffe, Matt Barberis and D Joel Sexsmith.

I heard from a reliable source this morning Alex Swetlikoff will be the next Viper to jump ship and head to the Western Hockey League. Swetlikoff was drafted by the Seattle Thunderbirds.

This is why I hate when the team has to deal with the WHL

This is why I don't like the team dealing with the WHL.

I'll say it again, maybe it'll get posted this time: what a shambles

Is there discontent in the vipers den? Is there a struggle amongst some players with maybe large egos? If this is so Mark Ferner must put a stop to it. Loyalty is one thing but to a coach a strong team attitude is so necessary for success. Something to think about.

Every team deals with the WHL. We aren't the only team to lose talent to the Dub. Can't blame the players....they are trying to progress their careers the best they can and who could blame them for wanting to take that next step?

I believe that Swetlikoff will eventually find his way to the Kelowna Rockets. He's only a 17 year old and will be 18 in the spring of 2020 when the Rockets are the host team for the Memorial Cup. What better exposure in his draft year than the Memorial Cup? He's from Kelowna, too. The Rockets haven't done well this season and will have to put together a competitive team for next year. Yes, he has a scholarship to Arizona State, but the Rockets can match that. Expect a Seattle-Kelowna trade with Alex as part of it.
