Vipers foward Finlay racks up eight points on way to POW honours

Vernon Vipers forward Liam Finlay has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 11, the league announced Monday.

Finlay led all scorers for the week with eight points. The University of Denver recruit opened his week with a goal and an assist in a 5-3 win over Prince George. Finlay then got in on all four Vipers tallies with a goal and three helpers and 1st Star in a 4-1 win over Alberni Valley. The 17-year-old Kelowna product earned another 1st Star with a goal and an assist in a 5-3 road win over Surrey.
