The Surrey Eagles have completed a trade with the Vernon Vipers, acquiring forward Chase McMurphy (94) and future considerations in exchange for forward Brett Mulcahy (93) and future considerations.
McMurphy, a native of Chestermere, Alberta, recorded 5 goals and 7 points with Vernon after beginning the 2013-14 season in the USHL. In three previous Junior "A" seasons with the Alberta Junior Hockey League's Calgary Mustangs, the 19 year-old scored 48 goals and 126 total points.
