Gladiators Sign Former Viper Schneider:

The East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) Gwinnett
Gladiators have signed former Vernon Vipers forward Stefan Schneider.

Schneider played the past two seasons with the American Hockey League (AHL) Chicago Wolves before being loaned to the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) Kalamazoo Wings on November 26th 2012. In eight games with the Wings Schneider picked up (1-1-2).  The Wolves then traded Schneider to the AHL Peoria Rivermen on April 9th 2013.  In two games with the Rivermen Schneider went pointless. 

The Vancouver Canucks signed the free agent Vernon product on March, 29th 2010 but never made the jump to the NHL. Schneider played five games as an "AP" with the Vipers during the 2006-2007 season. In five games with the Vipers Schneider went pointless.

DULUTH, Ga. – The Gwinnett Gladiators announced the signing of forwards Stefan Schneider and Philippe Halley for the 2013-14 season.

The Gladiators are the ECHL affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League.

Schneider, 23, has appeared in 127 total AHL games over the past three seasons with the Chicago Wolves, Manitoba Moose and Peoria Rivermen. Last season the Vernon, British Columbia native scored twice and added five assists in 32 games with the Wolves, while also skating in two games with the Rivermen and eight with the ECHL’s Kalamazoo Wings.

Halley, 21, wrapped up a four-year stint in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League this past season, posting 78 points (40g-38a) in 67 games with the Victoriaville Tigres. In his four years split between the Tigres and the Gatineau Olympiques, Halley amassed 216 points (116g-100a) and a +67 rating in 229 games. In the 47 playoff games, Halley added 33 points (14g-19a) and was a +22.
