The Vernon Vipers make their first visit of the season to the Nicola Valley Arena are coming off a 4-4 tie with the visiting Prince George Spruce Kings Saturday night. The 2nd place Vipers are just one point back of the Merritt Centennials who are tied with Penticton for top spot in the Interior Division. The Vipers sit just a single point up on 3rd place Salmon Arm and two points up on 4th place West Kelowna. Vernon is unbeaten in their last two games (A win and a tie) have just two wins in thier last six games. The Vipers play three of their next four games on the road where they have won four of their last six games away from home.

The Cents have been listed as an honourable mention in this week's CJHL Top 20 Weekly Rankings. Merritt has won four straight and six of their last eight games. The Centennials have won three of their last four home games will travel to Vernon in two weeks to face the Vipers for a fourth time this season. The Cents traded defenceman Dylan Bowen to the Trail Smoke Eaters on Wednesday for veteran defenceman Curtis Toneff.
