Former Vernon Vipers tryout (forward) Josh McKissock has been traded back to the BCHL as the SJHL Kindersley Klippers sent McKissock to the Chilliwack Chiefs Tuesday. McKissock was traded in late June to the Klippers in a four player trade with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks. McKissock attended the (2009-10) Vernon Vipers training camp but was cut during the exhibition season before joining the KIJHL Revelestoke Grizzlies. McKissock signed and played with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks this past season (2010-11).

Chiefs Acquire Skilled Forward
Tuesday, August 2, 2011
The Chilliwack Chiefs have acquired forward Josh McKissock from the Kindersley Klippers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League in exchange for Brad Buckingham.
McKissock is a 19 year old who brings speed and skill with him to Chilliwack.
The Vancouver product played the 2010-11 season with the BCHL's Salmon Arm Silverbacks where he dressed for 34 games registering 5 points and 27 penalty minutes.
Head Coach Harvey Smyl likes the tools McKissock possesses. “Josh skates extremely well, has very good skill and has good hockey sense. He is going to have the opportunity in Chilliwack to be an offensive threat.”
As for the 5’10, 170lb McKissock, he is thrilled to be a Chief. "I am very excited to play in Chilliwack. The Chiefs have a great history in that community and this is a big opportunity for me.”
McKissock was a member of the 2007 Burnaby Winter Club team that won the Western Canadian Bantam Championships as well as playing on the KIJHL’s Revelstoke Grizzlies who captured the Junior B Western Canadian title.
McKissock will be in Chilliwack this Saturday as part of the Chiefs season ticket seat selection day.
Brad Buckingham recorded 7 points in 38 games for Quesnel last season and will now have a chance to play closer to his Calgary, Alberta home.
