Gill Commits to BU
Bensenville, IL (November 23rd, 2009) - The Chicago Steel are proud to announce that Forward Sahir Gill has committed to Boston University for the 2010-2011 season. Boston University currently has a record of 3-7-1. Sahir will join former Chicago Steel defensemen Max Nicastro next season.
Sahir, who is from Terrace, B.C., has played in 16 games for the Steel this season and has 6 goals and 14 assists with 4 penalty minutes. As of November 23, 2009 Sahir is tied for 7th in the USHL for overall points with 20.
The Chicago Steel organization is very excited for Sahir, Boston University is not only getting a very skilled hockey player, but he succeeds in the classroom as well. He has been nothing but an asset to the organization since he joined us this summer, and he will do the same for Boston University when he arrives there next season said Assistant Coach Jon Waibel.
