I'm not sure how they can think that the Vipers are "PREMIER DESTINATION IN JR HOCKEY". Ownership is totally delusional.

No news of a coaching change??

I only want to hear about good prospects coming here to the premier destination.

Pathetic announcement about a disastrous season! If they were committed, they’d make some moves to get better.

premiere destination?, then why you not make playoffs. What a pile of crap!

Appreciate the release - true fans will still be there when the puck drops next season. Go Vipers!

I am hoping for at the very least for the owners of this leagues hockey teams to change the trade deadline to maybe Jan 10 instead of what it currently is because as fans the current deadline is a dud. No good for the players or fans.

Did we really expect an announcement that would provide an honest assessment of this past season or give insight to next season? This ownership is vague and not held accountable.

Fans will continue to show up as it is an evening out for the family at a decent price. There may be less repeat fans but regardless there will be enough at every game to keep the team sustainable.

Hmmm sounds like a little bit of sucking up to the fans. Will see what kind of team they put together next season

I'm hoping that there hasn't been a coaching announcement because their incoming coach is still coaching a team in the playoffs. This team needs a coach who can recruit and has contacts in hockey who can bring top players here. We had those kind of coaches in the past like Mick, Vandekamp, Ferner.

You are correct Bert but you forgot about the biggest obstacle in the way and that's John Glenn.

Blah,Blah, Blah... what a crock!!! Bobby C you are 100% correct. Anonymous poster used the word "pathetic", this perfectly describes how this organization is run.

The NCAA changes for eligibility may have changed the landscape of hockey but it certainly was not responsible for all the Viper woes. Maybe the 2025-26 version of the team will embrace honestly, respect and integrity. Maybe we can hope for good scouting/recruiting and then respecting the players enough to give them time to adapt/develop before they are released. If so, maybe, just maybe we will have some semblance of roster stability and a team that is not a complete embarrassment.

For some the frustration was too much, I personally know of 4 season ticket holders (2 sets of 2) who will not be renewing. I am a glutton for punishment but also like to be optimistic so will buck up at the last minute.

Seems the recruiting was solid last year. Especially with all of the notes about “former” Vipers putting up points for other teams. This coach couldn’t keep recruits because they were misled regarding their roles and the opportunity they’d get. Seems this was also evidenced by the departure of Sparrow, who did most of the scouting/recruiting. If a coaching change is in the works it needed to happen 2 weeks ago to have any shot at getting some quality players for next year. But it makes complete sense that they’d wait until the last minute to make any moves to improve this debacle.

After one of the worst seasons in franchise history, Changes need to be made!

Luke Bibby, somehow not good enough to crack the lineup in Vernon every night, just committed to Minn-Duluth out of Brooks after lighting it up for them. What did we get for the trade? A Defenceman who refused to report. Just one example of the many good players who left and had success elsewhere. And no changes made to date! This is why there are no signings in Vernon.
