Did the Vipers maybe make a mistake? Gilmour has 5 goals and 6 points in 9 games with Kemptville. Marko Stojkov leads all Vipers defencemen with 3 goals. The entire Vipers defence only has 9 goals this season.

Of course they made a mistake, just like they have with a bunch of guys who are no longer here. They signed a few young Dmen and barely played them. How do you expect guys to produce when they barely play? They keep running the same guys out there and the record continues to get worse! Insanity.

"Did the Vipers make a mistake"?  Yes, possibly but we consistently see incoming players given a very short "audition" before being released.  Perhaps these players are not as good a fit as expected but a couple of games (only 1 in Gilmour's case) is hardly enough for a player to settle in and show his value.  This type of move displays a huge disconnect between the Scouting and the Coaching of the Vipers.  Why recruit a player then realize so quickly you don't want him?

The same people who are recruiting are coaching 🤔

That league is far inferior to the BCHL and WK cut the kid too. No mistake he wasn't good enough

1 game is no where close to seeing what a kid can do. And for a lot of these guys, it was only a few shifts in the games they dressed. Obviously, there will be some misses when recruiting but these coaches have turned over nearly 20 players in less than 3 months. That is crazy!! How can you miss on so many players. I’m thinking it’s not the players. Granted, some players wanted out due to the toxic atmosphere but, either way, it boils down to the people running the team. It will not get better until better people are involved.
