Did you watch or listen to tonight's Vipers-Express game? What did you think of tonight's game? What are your comments/opinion on the game?
I had a friends birthday dinner this evening, so I missed the Vipers game. For a team that has struggled scoring this season, nice to see the boys score seven goals vs a pretty good Coquitlam team. The Vipers win back to back games for just the second time this season. A great win to start this road trip.
Go Vipers Go!
Lots of energy after a road trip, well done Vipers!
Funny how little anonymous post after a successful win!

1-0 on the road. Well done tonight.
I noticed Cooper cleaves in not in the viper lineup. Is he a scratch or not feeling well?
Was that the 999 regular season win for the VIPERS team DieHard?
I think Lomickys and sparrows message is getting thru of if you want to win most of your games you must play a full sixty minutes in this league. If the current players hold this attitude I believe with the hockey players we have climbing higher in standings is very possible. Go vipers go
It sure was Paul
Sorry, I slept in a bit later than usual. It was a very good win for the Vipers and as VDHF mentioned "nice to see the boys score seven goals". Hopefully they can carry the swagger over to the next game.
Here are a couple of interesting observations:
Of the seven goals scored (16 total points awarded) there was only one assist to a D-man. Not often in a high scoring game do you see so few points for the back end.
I suggested in an earlier post that some of the Viper troubles on defense may be due to dressing 7 D-men and not going with the conventional 6 D, 3 sets of pairings. This would enable them to get far more used to their partner's tendencies. It looks like the coach may have listed as they dressed an extra forward instead.
It was a Wednesday game. The home team often is "flat" and without emotion in those midweek games. Coquitlam played a lot like we've seen the Vipers on a Wednesday at home with lazy turnovers and just out of synch. The road team has their "road routine" day and are prepared. I thought the Vipers really forechecked well. Keegan Dunn was throwing a lot of checks in front of his hometown folks. The new Russian defenseman looked really good.
I watched the game last night on hockeytv. I had thought the vipers might have had bus legs as they had an event at the eagles hall before their bus ride, making it a long day. I was happy to see them come out and win. The first half of the first period the teams seemed pretty even. When the vipers scored their first goal and then the second goal right after, they seemed to have a real uptick in their game.
They were the better team and earned the win.
Of note, Andrew Ness, I checked his stats and the last game he played was in penticton last month when we scored two goals against him in the first few minutes (and shots) and chased him from the net. He hasn't played since and was traded to the express just this week. This was his first game for his new team. Memories of his last game may have affected him or maybe just not playing on a month. Just glad we won!
Also someone asked about Cleaves, Graham had mentioned during the game that he was sick. Reay is out with an injury and will be out for a bit..
Wishing them all a speedy recovery.
Up next, the clippers. Go vipers go.
