Zurevinski pair paces Bobcats:
Viper grad Scott Zurevinski scored twice as the Quinnipiac Bobcats stopped the Rensselaer Institute of Technology Engineers 5-1 in NCAA Division 1 hockey action Saturday night in New York.
Zurevinski, who had 3-1-4 with the Bobcats, scored once at even-strength in the second period and added an empty-netter with 3:29 remaining.
In Friday night play, former Viper Hunter Bishop fired the winner late in the first period as the Ohio State Buckeyes 4-0 shut down the host Robert Morris Colonials in a Non-Conference game at Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh.
Viper grad Jon Olthius recorded 19 saves as the visiting Alaska-Anchorage Seawolves clipped the North Dakota Fighting Sioux 3-2 in WCHA action before 11,772 fans Friday night.
Former Viper Chay Genoway drew assists on ex-BCHLers Ryan Duncan and Brett Hextall in the final two minutes for North Dakota.
The Fighting Sioux evened the series by clipping the Seawolves 3-1 Saturday night with Hextall scoring the winner. Ex-Viper Bryce Christianson made 24 saves in suffering the loss.
