Nilsson split the 2025-26 season with the Vernon Vipers & Chilliwack Chiefs.
Nilsson and the Chiefs lost in 7 games in the 2nd round of the playoffs to the Prince George Spruce Kings.
Nilsson played parts of two seasons in Vernon with the 2024-25 & 2025-26 Vernon Vipers. The Vernon Vipers signed Nilsson October 19th 2024 before trading Nilsson to the Chilliwack Chiefs January 29th 2026 for forward Connor Dick and the playing rights to forward Ben Bowen. In 77 games with the Vernon Vipers, Nilsson collected (6-goals-34-assists-40-points).
