Vipers affiliated player/forward Ryden Evers & the Western Hockey League Penticton Vees have passed the 2003/04 Everett Silvertips for the most wins by an expansion team in WHL history after a 7-3 victory over the Regina Pats February 21st. The Penticton Vees set the new Canadian Hockey League (CHL) expansion wins record after a 3-2 shootout win in Prince Albert February 27th. The Vees passed the 1982-1983 Longueuil Chevaliers of the QMJHL to break the record.

McKee is in his second season as assistant coach with the Penticton Vees.
McKee played two seasons at Michigan Tech University from 1997-1999 before signing his first professional contract with the ECHL Richmond Renegades in 2000. McKee retired from professional hockey in 2005 before getting his first coaching job with the Alberta Junior Hockey League Spruce Grove Saints in 2006.
McKee spent parts of five seasons with the Vernon Vipers from 2019-2024. McKee was named Head Coach/GM May 7th 2019 mutually parted ways with the Vernon Vipers March 16th 2024.

Evers is in his second season with the Penticton Vees. The Western Hockey League Penticton Vees signed Evers July 4th 2025. Evers had previously committed to the University of Nebraska-Omaha for the 2025-26 season.
Evers played two seasons with the Surrey Eagles. The Eagles traded Evers to Sherwood Park August 2nd 2024. The Sherwood Park Crusaders traded Evers to Penticton August 3rd 2024.
Evers was an affiliated player with the 2021-22 Vernon Vipers. Evers was added to the Vipers reserve roster in late October/early November 2021. Evers made his Vipers debut March 23rd 2022 in a 10-3 victory over the Trail Smoke Eaters. Evers played 1 game with the 2021-22 Vernon Vipers.
