BCHL Expanding To Include Alberta Teams Will Lead To Realignment:

The BC Hockey League will have to do some realignment with five teams from Alberta joining the league for the 2024-25 season.

Now we hear the AJHL has suspended games with these 5 teams vs the rest of the league. I question how this is legal. The teams have paid their dues and are not breaking away now, any move would be prior to next season. The AJHL is penalizing the players, not a good look for the league.

Ya, its no different if you give a two weeks notice that you are going to another job. The AJHL is punishing them for something they are going to do in the future, we’re obviously missing some information between the clubs and the league.
