AJHL Punishes 5 Teams ‘defecting’ To BCHL:

The Alberta Junior Hockey League has made an announcement, saying it has cancelled games between the five teams that have decided to leave the AJHL to join the BCHL for the 2024-25 season.

What is really interesting is the fact that the CJHL has eliminated the AJHL teams from the Top 20 Rankings, without publicly commenting on this debacle!
