An Australian invasion is planned for the Vernon Vipers game against Merritt Saturday.
The BC Hockey League Vipers are teaming up with SilverStar Mountain Resort to invite all of the mountain's Australian guests and employees to the game.
Ian Jenkins, with SilverStar, said several of the Vipers took to the pond at SilverStar for a fun scrimmage game featuring “some of our finer Australian hockey players” on the mountain.
SilverStar produced a humorous video to promote the event which is making the rounds on social media.
The puck drops at 6 p.m., mate.
