Hora to Suit Up for Vipers in 2014-2015
05/21/14
The Okanagan Rockets are proud to announce that 17 year old forward Linden Hora has received a commitment from the Vernon Vipers of the BCHL for the 2014-2015 season.
"We are very proud of Linden achieving his goal of playing Junior "A" hockey next season with a great program like the Vernon Vipers." said Rockets general manager David Michaud. "Linden had several team pursuing him in both the BCHL and the AJHL, so for him to settle on Vernon is a big deal, we couldn't be happier for him."
Hora posted 18 goals in the regular season for the Rockets and then posted several clutch goals for them in the post season. Hora notched the game winning goal in overtime at the Telus Cup to help the Rockets claim bronze at the national event.
Hora becomes the latest member of the 2013-2014 Rockets to secure a spot in Junior hockey for the coming season. "Linden had some options in Junior B last season and we encouraged him to give our program a shot. He had a solid season and now will realize his goal of playing Junior "A". It's a really great example of having a little patience, and putting yourself in a position to succeed."
Registration for the Rockets August Evaluation Camp is now open at www.bcmml.net.

Hora will actually be an 18 year old rookie.
Another new recruit coming to the Vipers with not alot of info on. I tried looking up some info on Linden but didnt find much.
Hes 18 yrs old so has a few years to play and develope. By the sounds of the article from the Rockets website, it sounds like several other BCHL & AJHL teams were interested in him.
With just a possible six players returning next season (the Vipers still owe Surrey two players) for the Brett Mulcahy trade from January, will be down to four players from the 2014 RBC Cup team will need all the help they can get in a rebulding season.
I wonder why the Vipers havent announced these latest two signings?
