The Vernon Vipers are coming off a 3-2 double overtime win over the visiting West Kelowna Warriors Saturday need just a single point in one of their final four regular season games to clinch a playoff spot for the first time in three years. The Vipers begin a two game home stand tonight, are playing their final two home games of the regular season this weekend have won three straight & three of their last five games. Vernon is 5-2-1-2 in their last ten games. Vernon has won five of their last eight home games have just six regulation losses at Kal Tire Place. The Vipers have lost just twice in February have climbed to within four points of 2nd place West Kelowna. The 3rd place Vipers are five points up on 4th place Merritt and ten points up on 5th place Salmon Arm. The Vipers will be without forward Liam Coughlin who has been suspended two games after his check from behind on West Kelowna Warriors defenceman Braden Pears Saturday.
