Bulldogs' LaCouvee becomes first multiple-winner of POW this season

Alberni Valley Bulldogs goalie Connor LaCouvee has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 16, the league announced Monday.
LaCouvee picked up a pair of wins to keep the Bulldogs' playoff hopes alive. The Qualicum Beach, B.C. native stopped all 32 shots he faced in a 4-0 win over the Powell River Kings and he followed that with 35 saves in a 2-1 victory over the Merritt Centennials.
The 19-year-old netminder was named 1st Star in both games. He posted a 0.985 save percentage and a 0.50 goals-against average over the two games.
