The Victoria Grizzlies have traded former Vernon Vipers defenceman Zach Urban to the AJHL Fort McMurray Oil Barons. Urban finished his first season with the Grizzlies after Penticton shipped Urban to Victoria on May, 31st 2012. In 54 games with Victoria Urban collected (3-20-23). Urban played one game as an "AP" with the Vipers during the 2010-11 season before playing one season in Penticton during the 2011-12 season.

The Victoria Grizzlies Junior A Hockey Club is pleased to announce the acquisition of Goalie Nic Renyard from the Coquitlam Express in a three team trade.
Renyard played two seasons for the Penticton Vees and was secured by the Grizzlies late Monday evening.
The Grizzlies traded 2012-13 Captain Zach Urban to the Fort McMurray Oil Barons in exchange for Chris Rygus. Rygus was then traded to the Express for Renyard, who was the future player sent to Coquitlam for John Siemer.
Grizzlies GM and Head Coach Bill Bestwick is elated to bring home Victoria product Renyard, “Nic has been a # 1 priority this off season and to bring him back to Victoria is great news for our team and fans of the Grizzlies.”
