The Vernon Vipers would like to announce that Heidi Haas is leaving her position as Marketing Manager of the hockey club. Heidi has decided to relocate to Calgary.

The Vipers would like to thank Heidi for her contributions and hard work over the past 4 seasons and wish her the best of luck in the future.

The Vipers are now accepting resumes for the position of Marketing Manager.

Job Description

General Responsibilities:

Marketing: Responsible for creating, managing, and executing strategic marketing campaigns that most effectively utilize available resources to maximize exposure for our events and increase overall participation and attendance

Promotions: Responsible for creating promotional events to enhance the event experience for our fans and added value to partnerships through increased exposure

Specific Responsibilities:

Research, design and promote season ticket packages
Research, create and implement a plan to identify, cultivate and solicit prospective ticket buyers,
Research, design and promote ticket packages other than season tickets ie. flex packs, vouchers,game specific discount packages, etc.
Research, design and produce promotional projects such as programs, schedules, posters, flyers rack cards, hockey cards for maximum team exposure

Research, create, and manage advertising sales inventory
Research, create, and develop partnership marketing materials
Research, create, and develop new ideas on a continual basis that will keep the business fresh and exciting
Assist with the design and concept of the Club’s website, provide information, picture and details
Prepare PA Scripts and maintain diversity
* Coordinate game day activities and related fulfillment of partnership packages
* Research, create, and develop new game promotional ideas to gain exposure, sell tickets, and entertain
* Oversee and manage special events, ie. Parents Weekend, Silent Auction, Windup Banquet, Opening Night, Fan Appreciation Night…

Other Duties:

Manage ticket stock and floats
Arrange and supervise ticket staff, PA Booth Staff, timekeeper/scorekeeper staff, and event staff
Manage and process all requests for donations
Assist in the general office with regards to ticket sales, phones, reception, etc. as required

Job Requirements:

Must have relevant advertising sales experience and a proven track record in developing, managing and executing successful corporate partnerships
Must have excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet multiple deadlines
Must be an independent, enthusiastic, high energy, self motivated worker, with the ability to work long flexible hours including weekends
