The Vernon Vipers would like to announce that Mark Ferner has resigned his position as Head Coach and General Manager of the Hockey Club. Marks goal has been to coach at the professional level and the opportunity presented to him is a step towards that goal. "We are here to develop not only players but coaches and we are pleased to see him move on" Owner Duncan Wray said. With the departure of Mark Ferner the Vernon Vipers are pleased to announce the promotion of Jason Williamson to the position of Head Coach and General Manager. "It was an easy decision to have Jason take over the top job as he is already familiar with are retuning players and incoming recruits" said Duncan Wray. "The hockey world respects Jason's contributions to the success the Vipers have enjoyed over the past four seasons." The Vernon Vipers would like to thank Mark Ferner for all of his contributions and wish him all the best at his new endeavor.
