Former Vernon Vipers forward, Jonathan Milhouse has been traded to the ECHL's Alaska Aces for future considerations. The former Viper signed a one year contract with the ECHL Victoria Salmon Kings to start the season back on October, 12th 2010 but was released on November, 17th 2010 after after failing to register a point in five games. On December 29th 2010 Milhouse signed with the ECHL Las Vegas Wranglers before being traded to Alaska February 5th 2011. Milhouse played one season in Vernon (2009-10).

ACES ACQUIRE MILHOUSE FROM WRANGLERS

The Alaska Aces have acquired forward, Jonathan Milhouse from the Las Vegas Wranglers in exchange for future considerations, Head Coach Brent Thompson announced on Saturday. Milhouse will join the Aces on Saturday evening in Victoria and is expected to be in Alaska’s lineup as they conclude their three-game set with the Salmon Kings. Milhouse, 22, is in first pro season, and returns to Victoria where he made his pro debut earlier this year. The native of Yorba Linda, CA played in five games for the Salmon Kings prior to landing in Las Vegas. The 5’10”, 175 lbs. forward had three goals and an assist in 18 games with Las Vegas. He registered his first professional point while playing with Las Vegas on the road in Victoria. His first pro goal was scored on Jan. 16th against the Aces, and he tallied the following game versus Alaska as well. Milhouse’s ties to Victoria run deeper than just his pro career. He spent parts of two seasons playing junior hockey in the BCHL for the Victoria Grizzlies. Last season in the BCHL, he had 53 points (19g, 34a) in 56 games for the Vernon Vipers of the BCHL, finishing fifth on the team in scoring. He will wear #61 on Saturday in his Aces debut.
The Aces are in Victoria on Saturday night to end a three-game with the rival Salmon Kings. They will return home to host the Stockton Thunder for three games on Feb. 11th, 12th, and 13th.
