The Vernon Vipers have released 19 year old forward Neka Jean, 19 year old forward Malcolm Baar & 20 year old defenceeman Bowen Burke and added 18 year old forward Samuel Charko.

Why would these team cut Burke. Solid RHD. Doesn’t make any sense at all. Been some very questionable decisions recently with cuts, Baar aswell not a superstar but solid bottom 6 center man
I don't know why any of these kids were released but sometimes there's always more to the story fans don't know about. Were any of these kids Lazy? Skipping curfew? Partying-drinking? Have an attitude? Decided to leave the team on his own? Had an issue with other players? Didn't like the coaches? Homesick? Wanted to play somewhere else? Whatever the reasons are, I would have to believe that Matt Cooke made the best decision he thought was best for the team.
That leaves us with 24….
ROSTERS RULES
Maximum of 25 active roster spots, plus an additional card if a team chooses to have a third goaltender.
Minimum of 10 Canadians. The rest of the lineup - whether Americans or players from Europe and beyond - is wide open.
8, 20-years-olds, with an additional 20-year-old goaltender exempt from the total.
Minimum of 4 rookies, defined as players with less than 30 games played at a similar junior level. To access the maximum 26-player roster, at least 2 skaters must be born between 2007 and 2009.
There's no ceiling on 16-year-olds - meaning a team that wants to lean heavily into youth development is free to do so.
What i wonder is will penalties plague this team?
Think Baar went more for his age and I heard he has some cardiovascular issues he needs to attend to.
Bowen Burke, not sure thought he’d be around for a bit, another late signing coming by Cooke bringing in a strong player? We can only hope.
