I watched the Vipers/Smoke Eaters game on the computer tonight and what a heck of a hockey game. This was a very entertaining and exciting game as the Vipers had way more opportunities and a ton of quality chances, especially in the first two periods. If it wasn't for Logan Terness, Vernon could have easily been up 5 or 6-1 after two periods. The Snakes have struggled scoring this season. For a second straight game, the Snakes were without seven regulars. James Porter Jr made his first start of the season and his Vipers debut, looked good and played well but I'm sure would like to have back Trail's third goal. Logan Terness was by far the busier of the two goaltenders and the difference in the hockey game. I liked the look of the three "AP"s tonight. If your a Viper fan I think you have to be disappointed losing both games this weekend. Heading into the weekend series, Vernon was six points back of Trail in the standings, now after losing both games this weekend, the Vipers are ten points back of the Smokies. It Looked like a good turnout in Trail with a nice looking crowd. After winning seven games in a row, the Vipers have now seem to get into going back and fourth with win one game, lose the next, win one game, lose the next, have now lost back to back games. This eleven game road trip continues Wednesday in Prince George.
Looking for a better result in prince george. There are always positives and negatives with a road trip. The mood amongst the players for one with there likes and dislikes, wanting to stay on as a viper or wanting to be traded because of player atmosphere they experience, coaching staff and the individual attitudes these young men have. We will either be better for it as a team or things will change because of the coaches and there wants and desires and the player himself as to how he feels. It will be interesting. GO,Vipers,Go.
Seriously what other sport starts a game with a player short?? I understand even the Trail coach, Tambellini was upset about it. Was the player racing with the Zamboni? Tough to be being on the road so much and so many injuries. A Viper Fan.
I feel bad for Jack Glen what father would let his son be embarrassed trying to play way over his head just because he owns the team! We all know what happened in Salmon Arm when the owner bought the team so his son could play goal, he was hung out to dry! I think the fans and Jack deserve better treatment!
