Former Vipers, Tresierra & Pierce Post Game Interview's:

The Salmon Arm Silverbacks ended the Merritt Centennials season Tuesday night with a 6-5 victory, as the Backs swept the Cents in four straight in the first round of the BCHL playoffs.

Merritt has five former Vipers on their team. David Sabey, Jeff Jones and Tyler Steel who all were cut from the Vipers training camp-pre season roster over the past two season’s. Steve Tresierra & Head Coach-GM Luke Pierce also both played in Vernon. Tresierra played two seasons in Vernon (2007-2009) before being traded to Merritt just days before the BCHL trade deadline. Pierce started his junior career with his hometown Merritt Centennials before being traded to Vernon to finish his final year of junior hockey in 2003-04.
