Mark Ferner talked about the trade tonight on the Vipers pre-game show. Ferner said he talked to St. Denis and asked him if he wanted to come to Vernon but to whatever reason said no. Ferner and the Vipers had a few deals in the works, one with Trail but the trade fell through. Ferner said St. Denis was cleared to play by the Kelowna Rockets and St. Denis's doctor so the Vipers made the trade so St. Denis was able to play.
This is posted on the BCHL website:
18-Nov-10 The Vernon Viper Hockey Club transfers the CJHL playing rights of Kyle St. Denis (90)(F) to the Victoria Grizzlies Hockey Club in exchange for future considerations.
