The Vernon Vipers clinched top spot in the BCHL & the Interior Division, giving them a first round bye. The Vipers knew they could face any of the following four teams in the 2nd round wich starts Tuesday March 9th & Wednesday March 10th with Games 1 & 2 in Vernon. Depending on who comes out of the 1st round Vernon would either face Merritt, Trail, Salmon Arm or Quesnel. Well as of last night there are only three teams on that list as the 2nd place Penticton Vees swept the 7th place Merritt Centennials. Penticton now moves onto the 2nd round of the Playoffs awaiting their opponent. The Vipers will now face either Trail, Salmon Arm or Quesnel depending on the outcome of the 1st round playoff matchups. As of today Westside leads Trail 3 games to 1, & Salmon Arm & Quesnel are tied 2-2.
