former Vernon Vipers forward Brendan Russell to their roster.

Russell spent the 2024-25 season with the Cowichan Capitals. 

Russell attended the Vernon Vipers training camp in August 2025 made the teams opening night roster, left the team January 19th for the North American Hockey League. In 24 games, Russell collected (2-goals-3-assists-5-points).
