New Video Scoreboard Installation Underway:

The new video scoreboard arrived on the weekend and installation is already underway. Crews have removed the previous scoreboard and will begin to assemble and install the new video scoreboard. The Vernon Vipers open the 2025 preseason September 5th at home vs the Cranbrook Bucks. All preseason home games will be played at Kal Tire Place North.

Hopefully we have a winning team for the new scoreboard.

With almost no returning players and no recruitment done until very late, the Vipers will be like an expansion team this fall.

Oh wait….. they were like an expansion team last year, too.

Let us wait and see what the coaching team is capable of. You can have like any team some no namers and turn them into an effective team let’s wait and see

Bert How do you know that the vipers have no returning players for this coming up season

Unless they’re magicians, it’s going to be rough this year. You’ll see a lot of journeymen looking for a place to play and/or a bunch of underage kids cutting teeth in junior hockey. Either way, it’s too late to start building. Any good player has been locked up or committed for 6-8 weeks.

If the Vipers do have some player commitments & player signings, then why aren't they announcing them?

If they haven't done any recruiting or signed anyone for this season, then that's on ownership/management.

With training camp within the next week or two, do the Vipers have any committed players? Have they signed anyone? Is anyone returning from last season? Do they even have players coming to training camp?

It would be nice if the Vipers updated their fans over the summer with a few news releases regarding these kinds of questions.

Come on Vipers, post something! When's training camp? Do we have any players? Were fans, we want to know

Call their office and ask your questions.

I can not believe that a business with all the hired coaches have nothing in their pockets as far as players go. It does not make economic sense. I expect that a number of 20 year olds and European players are in the mix. Why they are keeping player signings mute is any ones guess. As fans we can only hope.

Same old comments of negativity. This post is about the new scoreboard, not the returning players.

I'm looking forward to the new display and being able to watch video replay etc.
At least there are a few new things to look forward to this season.

No, the old comments were ones of positivity. At least the ones 6 or more years ago. The comments in the past few years are the new comments and they've been negative. For good reason.

I'm really looking forward to having a new video scoreboard this season. With instant replays being used last season, fans were unable to see what was going on, now we will be able to see all the replays, highlight goals, disallowed goals, big saves etc
