I wondered about Hicks ever since Brooks joined the BCHL. The BCHL rights to Hicks were traded to Vernon by Merritt, but Hicks had joined Brooks while they were still in the AJHL. So the question is "Who owns the Hicks, who ooowwwnnns the Hicks?"

He's from Kamloops so there's a chance he could play closer to home if he winds up in Vernon.

I was also curious to see what was going to happen with Johnny Hicks playing rights next year. I'm guessing because the Bandits are an elite Junior Hockey Franchise, he will return to Brooks next season. But what will happen with the Vernon/Merritt trade? Will the Centennials give back the future considerations the Vipers gave for the rights to Hicks or will Merritt give Vernon something else in return?

Give back?, they folded, no long part of BCHL!
