On This Day In Vernon Vipers History:

Seventeen years ago today (April 9th 2007) Nanaimo Clippers forward Taylor

Langford scored at 13:22 of double overtime, giving the Nanaimo Clippers a 2-1 double overtime victory over the Vernon Vipers in Game 2 of the BCHL League Finals in front of 1,783 fans at the Frank Crane Arena. Michael Garman made 35 saves in the win, while Nick Olynyk made 48 saves in the loss. With the win, the Clippers take a 2-0 series lead in the best of seven playoff series. Nanaimo would eventually win the best of seven playoff series 4 games to 2 and advance to the Doyle Cup.
