Get over yourself.

Is it really that imperative to post daily content that you're posting follow ups on former tryouts?
What's next....former season ticket holder plays outdoor shinny?

I just wanted to apologize to DieHard....I had my grinch hat on yesterday and took my frustrations out on you. I really do appreciate all the efforts you put into your blog and keeping us fans informed.
I know it must be difficult to please everybody, and I'm not proud of my online conduct yesterday in response to your posts.
I hope you will accept my apology and I wish you all the best this holiday season.

Moulson's tryout was a moment in Viper history. During the end of training camp intersquad game, the new coach, Mike Vandekamp gave a pre-game speech in which he assigned partners to fight in the third period. Vandekamp had come over to the Vipers from the Merritt Centennials and he always had tough teams. The Vipers had missed the playoffs the previous season, their last in the old Civic arena and Vandy had been hired to put a winner on the ice at the new rink.

The third period began with about 9 fights in the first 10 minutes. Several parents were aghast at what was going on. Moulson had been assigned another tryout player to fight, but declined. He got cut. One fan even shouted towards Duncan Wray "who are these guys, the Vernon Centennials". Wray went over to Vandekamp and the staged fights ended. The Vipers had pretty good teams those first two years in the new rink, even going to the league final. A sniper like Mouson might have made the difference and could have meant a league championship.

This post about Moulson shows a moment in Viper history that is far larger than just another tryout kid getting cut. Moulson was a legitimate blue chip recruit. He went back to Guelph after Vandy cut him and racked up 102 points in 42 games. And played 650 NHL games.

I have complete faith in Diehard and will read any posts he makes gladly! Thank you for giving a great forum and keeping us informed! Great follow up by Unknown regarding Moulson, I did not know this but anything Vandecamp does is not a surprise to me! We all remember Eli Grossman and the famous lougie he laid on Brandon Liefky!
