The 0-0-0-0 Vernon Vipers make there first of two preseason visits to Royal Le Page Place, open the Okanagan Cup preseason with a home & home series vs the West Kelowna Warriors. Tonight is the first of twelve exhibition games for the Snakes who will face the Warriors four times. These two teams will meet again Saturday night in Vernon. The Vipers & Warriors met seven times last season, with the Tribe going 5-2 vs Vernon in the regular season. The Vipers finished 5th in the Interior division last year with a 30-24-2-2 regular season record before eliminating the Wenatchee Wild in five games of the opening round of the BCHL playoffs before the remainder of the playoffs were cancelled due to COVID-19. The Snakes have eleven players back from the 2019-20 season. Vernon went 14-12-1-2 on the road last year, were 1-1-0-1 in West Kelowna last season. After this weekend, the Vipers will begin a home & home series with the Penticton Vees, starting October 7th in the Peach City.

The 0-0-0-0 West Kelowna Warriors open the 2020 exhibition season vs the Vernon Vipers, will play twelve preseason games this fall. The Warriors have nine players returning from last year, three of those players once played for the Vipers prior to coming to West Kelowna. The Warriors went 2-1 at home vs the Vipers last season and 3-1 in Vernon. The Tribe won only seven games at home last year, going 7-15-4-2 at Royal Le Page Place. West Kelowna finished 6th in the Interior division with a 15-33-6-3 record before falling in five games to the Penticton Vees in the first round of the playoffs. After this weekends home & home series vs the Vipers, the Tribe will face the defending Interior division pennant winning Penticton Vees next weekend.
