It was scoreless after the first two periods before Ben Sanderson opened the scoring for Vernon at 2:21 Braeden Tuck and Spencer McLean reply for Trail minutes later. Carter Jones adds an empty netter giving Trail a 3-1 lead. Donovan Buskey makes 16 saves in the win, while Aidan Porter makes 21 saves in the loss as Trail defeats Vernon 3-1 to take Game 1 in front of 1,771 fans at Kal Tire Place.
