Former Vipers Forward Dodginghorse Re-Elected As Councillor:

Former Vernon Vipers forward Brent Dodginghorse has been re-elected to a fifth term as a councillor with the Tsuut’ina Nation.

Dodginghorse was elected in 2008 and has since served his nation for 8 years. He is the current Portfolio holder for companies, working along side Tsuut’ina Contracting, Sarcee Developments, Sarcee Gravel and the Emergency Response Team to name a few.

Dodginghorse played two seasons in Vernon (1995-1997) before being traded the following season. In 111 regular season games with the Vipers Dodginghorse collected (53-goals-82-assists-135-points).  Dodginghorse would finish his Junior hockey career with the Western Hockey League's Calgary Hitmen before playing two years in the East Coast Hockey League with the Johnstown Chiefs & Pensacola Ice Pilots.

Brent Dodginghorse, 38, who played two seasons (1997-99) with the Calgary Hitmen, has been re-elected to a fifth term as a councillor with the Tsuut’ina Nation near Calgary. The election was held last week and had a voter turnout of more than 70 per cent. .
