The East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) Ontario Reign have signed former
Vernon Vipers forward Tyler Scofield. Scofield has spent his entire professional career in Europe playing with three different teams from 2009-2014.
Scofield started this season with the Moser Medical Graz 99ers, an Austrian ice hockey team from Graz, Styria that play in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga hockey league. Scofield collected (5-goals-0-assists-5-points) in eight games with Graz 99ers before leaving the team on November 4th 2014.
Scofield spent the past four seasons in Austria with Klagenfurter Athletiksport. Klagenfurt AC is a professional ice hockey team from Klagenfurt, Carinthia, Austria that plays in the Austrian Erste Bank Hockey League. In 49 games last season Scofield collected (18-goals-10-assists-28-points).
Scofield played parts of two seasons in Vernon (2000-2002) before being traded to Prince George during the 2001-2002 season. The Vipers sent Scofield and Mark Nelson to the Spruce Kings in return for Rod Pelly, Dan Rossi & Josh Ciocco. In 79 games with the Vipers Scofield collected (21-goals-19-assists-40-points).

Forward began season in Austria with Graz 99ers
ONTARIO, Calif. — The Ontario Reign, four-time Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL’s 2014 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, have agreed to terms with right wing Tyler Scofield and have placed him on reserve.
Scofield, 30, began the season with Graz 99ers in Austria's Erste Bank Eishockey Liga, recording five points (5g-0a) and four penalty minutes in eight games.
The native of Prince George, British Columbia has spent his entire professional career in Europe
from 2009-14, beginning with HC Plzen in the Czech Eztraliga in 2009-10, before moving to Klagenfurter AC in the EBEL from 2010-14, where he helped lead Klagenfurter to an EBEL championship during the 2012-13 season. In 202 career games spent overseas, Scofield has racked up 118 points (67g-51a) and 104 penalty minutes.
Prior to turning pro, Scofield completed a four-year collegiate career with Bemidji State University from 2005-09, posting 111 points (48g-63a) and 112 penalty minutes in 129 games. Scofield helped the Beavers capture College Hockey America titles in his freshman and senior campaigns.
