PRINCE GEORGE, BC – The Prince George Spruce Kings of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) have added Mitch Eden to their roster. Eden played last season with the Huntsville Otters team of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL).
Mitch Eden is a '94 born 5' 11" 187 pound defenceman from Bracebridge, ON. Eden was selected 58th overall by the Oshawa Generals in the 2010 Ontario Hockey League draft.
In his past two seasons with the Otters, Eden has played in 89 regular season games finishing with a record of 10 goals, 34 assists and 69 minutes in penalties.
"I'm very happy to be able to add a player like Mitch to our lineup," said Spruce Kings General Manager, Mike Hawes. "Mitch is a very gifted offensive player who already has two years of Junior 'A' experience at 18 years of age and is coming off a tremendous season last year in Huntsville."
Eden and the rest of the Spruce Kings will now focus on their off-season preparations in advance of the team’s main training camp for the 2012-13 BCHL season which gets underway at the Prince George Coliseum on August 24, 2012.
