Collins, Jones & Ferner Represent Vipers In BCHL Award Nominees:

BCHL Conference Award nominees announced

The British Columbia Hockey League's two leading scorers and some of its brightest stars highlight the Coastal and Interior Conference Award nominee lists announced by the league on Monday.

On the Coast, Powell River Kings forward Darcy Oakes will battle Langley Chiefs forward and Cowichan Valley Capitals netminder Chris Rawlings for Conference Most Valuable Player honours. Oakes leads the BCHL scoring with 95 points heading into the final weekend of regular season action.

Salmon Arm Silverbacks forward Mark Zengerle heads the Interior MVP contingent, which also includes Penticton Vees forward Denver Manderson and Westside Warriors defenceman Justin Schultz.

Conference Award winner will be announced on Thursday, February 19th.

Rookie of the Year:

Coastal Conference: Mat Bodie (Powell River Kings), Garrick Perry (Burnaby Express), Andrew Wallace (Surrey Eagles)
