Nanaimo @ Vernon: (Game Preview)

Nanaimo (23-18-1-3) @ Vernon (30-11-1-2)

This will the be the first and only meeting between these two hockey teams, unless meeting in the BCHL Playoffs. The Vipers are coming off two poor performances last weekend just slipping past the Merritt Centennials 4-2 on home ice and then getting into penalty trouble the next night up in Penticton and lossing 5-1 to the Vees. Vernon sits in 2nd place in the Interior Division as the Clippers are 5-4-1 in there last 10 games, and sit 3rd out of the four team Island Division. The Clippers started off the Interior road trip with a big 2-1 victory last night in Trail defeating the slumping Smoke Eaters. This wont be the same Clippers team most Vernon hockey fans are use to watching, as Bill Bestwicks hockey club has struggled this season, as Nanaimo is usally coming into town near the top of the Island Division.
