I watched the Vipers game online tonight. I thought other then some mistakes and your going to get those on opening night/early in the new season, I thought this was a very good-close game and very entertaining. Sure the Vipers made some mistakes but also looked good at times. Vernon struggled at times in there own end/ I thought both teams were pretty even in the 1st period, with the Smoke Eaters having a bit of an edge in play in the 2nd period, before Vernon having a bit of an edge in play at times in the 3rd. The Snakes get to within a goal, just can't get a bounce or puck luck to tie the game. One thing I noticed was the Snakes hard work, compete level, some thing we didn't see a lot of with Jason McKee as Head Coach. Landon MacDonald and Will Schumacher who were both signed this week, looked good/played well. I heard there names a lot through out the broadcast. Rookie Vinny Ipri scored but I thought had a rough game, really struggled through out the game. A good size crowd for the Smokies home opener.

Vipers start the regular season with a three game road trip. A tough task ahead in Cranbrook tomorrow as the Bucks beat West Kelowna in their home opener 9-0

Go Vipers Go!

why do you comment, with a game recap, when the main article is headlined GAME RECAP? Should you not just include your comment in the main article?

hockey players will go that extra mile for you as a coach if you treat them as thou you have there best interests at heart and not just to boost your ego and also if coaches want respect from there players than one has to remember it is a two way street. Also kindness and caring go along way if you want a championship type team, just ask Mark Ferner as in his tenor as coach his players would do anything for him for the win. GO,VIPERS,GO.

I listened to Graham on the radio last night. I think we played fairly well but we have to play a little harder and a full 60 mins and the defence should play a little more solid vs an experienced team like Trail, other then that it was a pretty good game
