Former Vernon Vipers defenceman Luke Ashton was named the BCHL

Ashton is in his first season with the Langley Rivermen. In 29 games, Ashton has (11-goals-11-assists-22-points).

The Vernon Vipers traded Ashton & forward Copeland Fricker to the Langley Rivermen June 29th 2023 for forwards Owen Kim & Walker Gelbard. 

The United States Hockey League Sioux City Musketeers selected Ashton in May 2023 233rd overall in Round 16 at the USHL Draft.

Ashton played the past two seasons in Vernon. In 81 games with the Vipers, Ashton collected (2-goals-7-assists-9-points).
