The Cyclones plan to return to play for the 2021-22 season.

Coughlin started the 2020-21 season with the ECHL Fort Wayne Komets after signing a professional contract with the team January 27th 2021. Coughlin was added to the Komets training camp roster January 29th 2021 but never played a single game before being released February 10th 2021.
