Mavericks Place Ex Viper Goaltender Shortridge On Injured Reserve:

The ECHL Kansas City Mavericks have placed former Vernon Vipers goaltender

Andrew Shortridge on Injured Reserve.

Shortridge is in his first season with the Mavericks. In 4 games this year, Shortridge is 2-1 with a 2.03 GAA

Shortridge become a free agent this year after the San Jose Sharks didn't offer him a qualifying contract in October. The American Hockey League Stockton Heat signed Shortridge to a two-way AHL/ECHL contract December 5th 2020. The Heat assigned Shortridge to the Mavericks December 5th 2020.

Shortridge played last year in the American Hockey League & ECHL with the AHL San Jose Barracuda & the ECHL Allen Americans. In 14 games with the Barracuda, Shortridge went 3-7 with a 3.71 GAA In 10 games with the Americans, Shortridge went 4-4-1 with a 2.81 GAA

Shortridge played three years at Quinnipiac University before signing his first professional contract with the San Jose Sharks April 3rd 2019 and an amateur contract with the American Hockey League San Jose Barracuda April 3rd 2019.

Shortridge played one season in Vernon (2015-16) In 44 games with the Vipers, Shortridge went 19-25 with two shutouts and a 3.15 GAA
