Former Viper Brothers Selected To First Team All-WCHA & All-Academic Team:

Former Vernon Vipers forward Steven Jandric made First Team All-WCHA while former Vernon Vipers defenceman Chris Jandric was one of 16 players who made the All-Academic team. 

Steven Jandric was in his third season at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks before the season was cancelled due to COVID-19. Steven Jandric played two seasons in Vernon (2015-2017) Played in 115 regular season games with the Vipers collected (34-goals-39-assists-73-points).

Steven Jandric Lands Spot on First Team All-WCHA and All-Academic Team; 15 Others Join on All-Academic

FAIRBANKS, Alaska – The Western Collegiate Hockey Association announced their 2019-20 All-WCHA and All-Academic Teams this morning. The Nanooks were represented by one player on the All-WCHA team as Steven Jandric made First Team All-WCHA while 16 players made the All-Academic team.

Jandric, the junior forward from Prince George, B.C, and Alaska Nanooks top-scorer, was selected to the All-WCHA First Team alongside; Marc Michaelis, Connor Mackey and Dryden McKay from Minnesota State, Adam Brady from Bemidji State and Alec Rauhauser from Bowling Green. On the season, Jandric put up a total of 33 points while scoring 13 goals and assisting on 20 other. In conference play, Jandric scored the third most points with 30, trailing only Griffin Loughran and Michaelis.

This is Jandric's third WCHA end of the year award, after he was named to the All-WCHA Rookie team for the 2017-18 season before being named to Third Team All-WCHA last season.

The Nanooks were well represented on the All-Academic WCHA 2019-20 Team as 16 Nanooks, including Steven Jandric, were selected. To be chosen to the All-Academic team, you must have completed one full year of eligibility at the school and held a 3.0 or above GPA for the prior two semesters or three quarters. Transfers are eligible for the list if they held a 3.0 or higher for all terms at their new institution.

This article was from early March but I still wanted to post it. I have a ton of other articles/stories I have to post but don't want to post every thing at once.
