MODO Hockey can today present a new acquisition to the club. Forward Adam Tambellini, who most recently comes from playing in the AHL in the last four seasons, joins the team. 'A player of good size, who is skilled with the puck in the attacking zone because he has good technique and good shots,' comments MODO Hockey's sports director Fredrik Glader.

Adam Tambellini, 24, is most recently from the Belleville Senators in the AHL, where last season he accounted for 32 points through 13 goals and 19 assists in 72 games. Now he is ready to play in MODO Hockey for the remainder of the 2019/2020 season.

'I am loaded and excited to come over and meet the team, the coaches and everyone in the organization. Since it will be the first time I play in Europe, I am aware that adaptations may be required in my game, but I hope That I will get into it as soon as possible,' tambellini said.

'Likes the offensive game'

The Canadian forward has played in the AHL for the past four seasons, where he was drafted by the New York Rangers in 2013 and played three seasons for the Hartford Wolf Pack in the AHL with a score of 99 points, 46 goals and 53 assists, in 211 games. Tambellini is 193cm and weighs 88kg and sees himself primarily as an offensive player:

'I'm a player who likes to shoot the puck and has also played a lot of powerplay over the last few seasons. I hope, of course, to help the team in that form of play, in the offensive game but to also contribute all over the ice,' tambellini concludes.

MODO fans recognize the surname Tambellini and Adam is quite the right little brother of former MODO player Jeff Tambellini who represented MODO Hockey in the SHL season 2013/2014.

'Absolutely Jeff was the first person I called when there was talk that MODO Hockey was interested. I knew a lot about the tradition of the club since before but when it came to the city, the organization and all the passionate supporters, Jeff just had good things to say. It will be a lot of fun to play in MODO Hockey and thus also follow in his footsteps in Örnsköldsvik.

Adam Tambellini joins MODO Hockey early next week where the contract is valid for the remainder of the 2019/2020 season.
